What is Rankgaroo?

Rankgaroo is a hosted MCP server that gives your AI app read-only access to your Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 data. You add one connector URL to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, sign in with Google, and ask questions about your own sites in plain English.

What is an MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard AI apps use to call outside tools. An MCP server exposes tools, such as "get Search Console clicks by query", that the AI can call while it answers you. Rankgaroo is a remote MCP server, so there is nothing to install.

Can Rankgaroo change anything in my Google accounts?

No. Rankgaroo asks Google only for read-only Search Console and Analytics access. It cannot submit sitemaps, remove URLs, change settings or add users.

Do you store my Search Console or GA4 data?

No. Rankgaroo fetches data when your AI asks for it and passes it straight to that AI app. We store your Google account ID, email and an encrypted sign-in token, nothing else. See the privacy policy for details.

Which AI apps does it work with?

Any AI app that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in, including Claude (web, desktop and Claude Code), ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code. Each app has its own setup steps; the connect guides walk through them.

How is this different from a free open-source Search Console MCP?

The open-source servers run on your own computer and need a Google Cloud project, an OAuth client or service account, and a JSON key file. Rankgaroo is hosted: you paste one URL and sign in with Google. It also works in web apps like Claude.ai and ChatGPT, which can't reach a server running on your laptop.
