A GA4 MCP server lets your AI app run Google Analytics 4 reports on your behalf. Rankgaroo hosts one: connect it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, sign in with Google, and ask about sessions, channels, landing pages, engagement or key events. The AI picks the GA4 dimensions and metrics, runs the report through the Data API and explains the result. Access is read-only and nothing is stored.

No service account

What is a GA4 MCP server?
A GA4 MCP server exposes Google Analytics 4 reporting as tools an AI app can call through the Model Context Protocol. When you ask about traffic, the AI calls the tool with the right dimensions, metrics and dates, then reads the rows to answer.
How is this different from Google's official Analytics MCP server?
Google's server is open source, runs on your own machine and covers GA4 only. Rankgaroo is hosted, signs you in with Google instead of local credentials, works in web AI apps and also reads Search Console. If you want to self-host and only need GA4, Google's server is a good choice.
Can it see conversions and key events?
Yes, if your GA4 property tracks them. The AI can request metrics like keyEvents and filter by channel, source or landing page.
Does it work with Universal Analytics?
No. Universal Analytics stopped processing data in 2023, and Rankgaroo reads GA4 properties only.
