What your AI can call
Rankgaroo gives your AI app five read-only tools. You don't call them yourself: you ask a question and the AI picks the tool and the parameters. This page is for when you want to know exactly what's possible.
gsc_list_properties
Search ConsoleLists the Search Console properties your Google account can see, with your permission level on each.
Returns: siteUrl and permissionLevel for each property, e.g. sc-domain:example.com, siteOwner.
gsc_search_analytics
Search ConsoleSearch performance (clicks, impressions, CTR, average position) for one property, grouped the way you ask.

| startDate, endDate | YYYY-MM-DD. Default: the 28 days ending 3 days ago, since newer data is still settling. |
| dimensions | Any of query, page, country, device, date. Default: query. |
| filters | AND list on query, page, country or device: contains, equals, notContains, notEquals, includingRegex, excludingRegex. |
| rowLimit | Default 100, up to 1,000 rows per call. |
| type | web, image, video, news, discover or googleNews. Default: web. |
Returns: Rows of keys, clicks, impressions, ctr (4 decimals) and position (1 decimal), plus the dates used.
ga4_list_properties
GA4Lists the GA4 properties your Google account can see, grouped by account.
Returns: account, propertyId and displayName for each property.
ga4_run_report
GA4Runs a GA4 Data API report with the dimensions and metrics you choose.

| startDate, endDate | YYYY-MM-DD. Default: the last 28 days ending yesterday. |
| dimensions | GA4 API dimension names, e.g. landingPage, sessionSource. Default: sessionDefaultChannelGroup. |
| metrics | GA4 API metric names, e.g. sessions, engagementRate, keyEvents. Default: sessions. |
| filters | AND list of dimension filters: EXACT, CONTAINS, BEGINS_WITH, ENDS_WITH or FULL_REGEXP, optionally negated. |
| orderBy | Metric to sort by, highest first. Default: the first metric. |
| limit | Default 100, up to 1,000 rows per call. |
Returns: Column headers, rows of values and the total row count.
whoami
AccountShows which Google account is connected and which data Rankgaroo can read.
Returns: Email and the Google scopes you granted.
What the tools don't do yet
- No write actions: no sitemap submission, URL removal or settings changes.
- No URL Inspection, Bing data or PageSpeed checks.
- No stored history or scheduled reports. Comparing periods means the AI calls a tool twice.
- Up to 1,000 rows per call. Search Console itself hides anonymized queries and keeps about 16 months of data.
