Best Search Console MCP servers (2026)
Quick answer
A Search Console MCP server lets an AI app read your Google Search Console data. Ten options are worth knowing in 2026. Most hosted ones sign you in with Google and are read-only. The open-source ones run on your machine and need your own Google credentials. Some add GA4, Bing or PageSpeed. We make Rankgaroo, so weigh our view accordingly. Rankgaroo fits when you want hosted, read-only Search Console and GA4 behind one Google sign-in; mcp-gsc fits when you want to run and modify the code locally.
Key differences:
- Hosted servers use a Google sign-in; local servers need your own Google Cloud credentials.
- Most hosted servers state read-only access; mcp-gsc includes write tools such as sitemap submission.
- Only some options state GA4 support: Rankgaroo, QuerySail, Advanced GSC MCP and saurabhsharma2u/search-console-mcp.

How we picked these
We listed products that expose the user's own Search Console data through MCP. Each claim comes from the product's own site, docs or repo, linked below. Where a point is not stated publicly, the table says so. We do not compare prices or plans here.
We make Rankgaroo, which is in private beta. It is in the table so you can compare it on the same terms.
Hosted or local
A hosted server runs on the vendor's infrastructure. You sign in with Google and paste one URL into your AI app. It works in web apps such as Claude web and ChatGPT.
A local server runs on your machine. You supply Google credentials, usually from your own Google Cloud project. mcp-gsc's README says it runs locally and works in the Claude Desktop app, not in the claude.ai browser interface.
Is there an official Google Search Console MCP server?
As of 2026-10-25 we found no official Google Search Console MCP server. A request titled "Google Search Console MCP (Official)" has been open in the google/mcp repository since 2025-12-31 with no reply from Google.
Google does publish an official MCP server for Google Analytics. It is local and covers GA4 only. See the Google Analytics MCP comparison.
Other ways to reach Search Console data
Ahrefs MCP lists a Google Search Console tool group among its tools. It is part of the Ahrefs hosted server, so it fits teams already using Ahrefs. Check their docs for how your own GSC data gets connected.
When to pick Rankgaroo
- You want Search Console and GA4 in one hosted connection with a single Google sign-in.
- You want read-only scopes only, with no tool that can submit sitemaps or change anything.
- You use Claude web, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code and do not want a Google Cloud project or JSON key.
- You like raw tools: Search Analytics with regex filters and a general GA4 report, instead of pre-built reports.
When to pick the alternatives
- mcp-gsc: you want open-source code you can run locally and modify, plus URL inspection and sitemap tools.
- QuerySail: you need URL inspection, sitemap listing or realtime GA4 reports from the same hosted server as Search Console.
- MetricPort: you also want Google Ads and AdSense data next to Search Console.
- Search Console MCP (mcpsearchconsole.com): you want PageSpeed and public site checks beside Search Console data.
- seoskill: you want an open-source toolkit with site crawling and Bing.
Questions
Is there an official Google Search Console MCP server?
As of 2026-10-25 we found none. Google's own MCP list includes Analytics as a local server but no Search Console entry, and a request for one in the google/mcp repository is still open. Re-check before you rely on this.
Which Search Console MCP servers are read-only?
QuerySail, GSCmate, MetricPort and Rankgaroo state that their tools are read-only. Search Console MCP (mcpsearchconsole.com) and saurabhsharma2u/search-console-mcp are read-only by default with opt-in writes. mcp-gsc includes write tools such as submit_sitemap.
Which Search Console MCP server also supports GA4?
Rankgaroo, QuerySail and Advanced GSC MCP combine Search Console and GA4 in a hosted server. saurabhsharma2u/search-console-mcp adds GA4 as a local server. Google's official Analytics MCP server covers GA4 only.
Can I use a Search Console MCP server in claude.ai or ChatGPT?
Hosted remote-MCP servers such as Rankgaroo, QuerySail and GSCmate list Claude web and ChatGPT among their clients. Local servers such as mcp-gsc run on your computer and are built for desktop apps.
